Isaac (The Canoe Builder)
Isaac is a student originally from Thunder Bay, but currently studying math and English at the University of Ottawa. While not a history buff, Isaac was attracted to the dramatic aspect of re-enactment, and has developed a fascination with fur trade culture from both working as a re-enactor for the past two summers and studying explorers' journals at school.
His frequent portrayals of a drunk and disorderly Alexander Fraser during re-enactments has given Isaac a bit of a reputation with his coworkers. Surprisingly, research into his family's past involvement with the fur trade has turned up that this reputation is a well founded tradition. Shown to the left is a portrait of Isaac's ancestor, James Jean-Louis-Marcelle-Joseph-Francois-Baptiste des Trois Rivieres Mucklow, being eyed suspiciously by a company clerk.
Isaac will be our go-to-guy for any and all nautical or "oh my gosh the canoe is sinking" problems. He draws on extensive fur trade experience at Fort William where he has always been an expert with wigwas, watap and anything fueled with gun powder.
